Each year Padua Swimming participates in a range of interclub competitions. Teams are picked based on times achieved at club nights so it is important that if swimmers want to particpate in these events that they perform some swims at effort at club nights.
Each interclub has it own set of rules and therefore each meet will consist of different combinations of swimmers.
If you or your child are interested in being involved in the next interclub meet please speak with Head Coach- David Barnes are there are always numerous relays and team events that need to be filled.
Generally, points are awarded to each club based on the number of first, second and third places their swimmers achieve and at the end of the carnival an overall winning club is announced.
Padua Swimming has a fantastic team spirit at these events, all parents and swimmers show utmost support for those in the pool and have a reputation of being extremely competitive overall against the other clubs. Even if you are not a member of the swimming team it is worthwhile turning up for the event to support your friends and team mates, to cheer them on. Just don't forget your swimmers as you never know when an additional swimmer will be required!!!! |
